The Associated Press reports that an Amish man in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged with drunk driving in his horse-drawn buggy.
Apparently, an off-duty police officer noticed a buggy straddling the center line of a road while proceeding at a walking pace, with the driver asleep at the wheel, I mean reigns. The article does not mention whether the buggy was impounded or towed or whether the horse was charged.
I’ve often told clients that each case is unique, and I guess this is another example. Click here for the article: http://www.philly.com/philly/wires/ap/news/state/pennsylvania/2009120 8_ap_centralpapolicechargeamishmanwithdui.html
