The Right to a Trial by Jury

Any crime that may be punishable by imprisonment for more than 6 months or more, automatically trigger the right to a trial by jury, regardless of the offense. Crimes determined to be petty offenses don't necessarily warrant a trial by jury.
The number of people on a jury can be between 6
and 12, depending upon the state and seriousness of the crime. The U.S Supreme Court has
